Erected by John NELSON in memory of his wife Elizabeth Jean McMEIKAN who departed this life 2nd August 1827 aged 42 years. Also two of their children who died young. Also the above John NELSON who died 21st Sept 1868 aged 82 years Also his daughter Margaret NELSON who died 2 Feb 1883 aged 33 years Also Agnes SKIMMING wife of the above John NELSON who died 13 Jan 1894 [reverse side This Ground Contains 1 Grave in Length and 3 in breadth south from this stone
