Erected by John WALLACE Carpinter [sic] Portpatrick in memory of Sarah WALLACE his daughter who died 10th July 1827 aged 10 years. Also Catherine BURNS, spouse to the above John WALLACE who died 20th July 1858 aged 70 years, also their eldest son William who died at Swansea October 21st 1869 aged 48 years. John WALLACE husband to the above named Catherine BURNS born Feb. 14th 1788 died Novr 27th 1878. John WALLACE son of the erector of this stone Born 29th Novr 1823 died at Portpatrick 11th April 1899. [reverse side] This Burying Ground Contains one Grave in Length and three in Breadth, one on each side of this Stone.

Description:
Free standing headstone with round top and shoulders. Set on grey sandstone plinth. Main inscription on east face.
