Here lyes the corpse of Willia- WALLACE - - - - - - - - - - - in Por - - a - - - - who died the 12th May 1792 aged 58 years. Erected by his sons John and William WALLACE both mariners in Portpatrick 179- Also Jannet McKELVIE wife to William WALLACE who died the 15th May 1814 aged 83 years. And Jane McMICKEN wife to the John WALLACE who died the 20th June 1821 aged 64 years [reverse side] This burying ground contains 1 grave in length and 5 in breadth 2 North and 2 South of this stone In memory of William WALLACE, Mariner, who died 12th March 1853 aged 93 years Also of his wife Jane [McMILLAN] who died 18th August 1845 aged 83 years
