[10ft high on wall - swathed urn] [In memory] of his father John LEWTHWAITE [wh]o died [4th] September 1793 aged 5[3] ye[ars] His Mother Elizabeth DREW who died 19 January 181[4] aged 74 years His son Alexander McCULLOCH LEWTHWAITE who died in infancy 19th November 1819 and His Beloved Wife Susan McCULLOCH who died 14th February 182[1 or 4] aged 3[1 or 5] years This stone is erected by John LEWTHWAITE Comptroller of His Majesty’s Cuft[oms] at Portpatrick. John LEWTHWAITE died at Borrowstownness on 12th May 1831 aged 50 years

Condition:
Poor. Central memorial very worn with extensive flake damage. Top of main pediment absent. Lamination on pilasters.
Description:
Raised mural monument constructed into boundary wall. Broken pedimented top above cement-rendered main panel with quoined pilasters. Central memorial comprised wreathed urn on obelix above pedimented top with inscription below in oval panel. False plinth below.
