[10ft high on wall - swathed urn] [In memory] of his father John LEWTHWAITE [wh]o died [4th] September 1793 aged 5 ye[ars] His Mother Elizabeth DREW who died 19 January 181 aged 74 years His son Alexander McCULLOCH LEWTHWAITE who died in infancy 19th November 1819 and His Beloved Wife Susan McCULLOCH who died 14th February 182[1 or 4] aged 3[1 or 5] years This stone is erected by John LEWTHWAITE Comptroller of His Majesty’s Cuft[oms] at Portpatrick. John LEWTHWAITE died at Borrowstownness on 12th May 1831 aged 50 years
